ושבח דוד בנבואה קדם יי ית פתגמי תושבחתא הדא על כל יומיא דשיזיב יי ית ישראל מיד כל בעלי דבביהון ואף לדוד שיזביה מחרבא דשאול:
dshawl mkhrba shyzbyh ldwd wap dbbyhwn bely kl myd yshral yth yy dshyzyb ywmya kl el hda thwshbkhtha pthgmy yth yy qdm bnbwah dwd wshbkh
David spoke to Yahweh the words of this song in the day that Yahweh delivered him out of the hand of all his enemies, and out of the hand of Saul,

ואמר יי תוקפי ורוחצני ומשיזיב יתי:
ythy wmshyzyb wrwkhtsny thwqpy yy wamr
and he said: “Yahweh is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer, even mine;

אלהי דאתרעי בי קרבני לדחלתיה תוקפי דמן קדמוהי מתיהב לי תקוף ופורקן לאתגברא על בעלי דבבי רוחצני דעל מימריה אנא רחיץ בעדן עקא מגין עלי מבעלי דבבי ואמר לארמא קרני בפורקניה סומכני דהוה מימריה סמך לי כד הויתי עריק מן קדם רדפי פורקני מבעלי דבבי ואף מיד כל חטופין שיזיב יתי:
ythy shyzyb khTwpyn kl myd wap dbby mbely pwrqny rdpy qdm mn eryq hwythy kd ly smk mymryh dhwh swmkny bpwrqnyh qrny larma wamr dbby mbely ely mgyn eqa bedn rkhyts ana mymryh del rwkhtsny dbby bely el lathgbra wpwrqn thqwp ly mthyhb qdmwhy dmn thwqpy ldkhlthyh qrbny by dathrey alhy
God is my rock in whom I take refuge; my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower, and my refuge. My savior, you save me from violence.

אמר דוד בתושבחא אנא מצלי קדם יי דבכל עדן מבעלי דבבי פריק יתי:
ythy pryq dbby mbely edn dbkl yy qdm mtsly ana bthwshbkha dwd amr
I call on Yahweh, who is worthy to be praised; So shall I be saved from my enemies.

ארי אקיפתני עקא כאתא דיתבא על מתברא וחילא לית לה למילד והיא מסכנא לממת סיעת חיבין בעתת יתי:
ythy bethth khybyn syeth lmmth mskna whya lmyld lh lyth wkhyla mthbra el dythba katha eqa aqypthny ary
For the waves of death surrounded me. The floods of ungodliness made me afraid.

משרית רשיעין אקפוני קדמוני דמזינין במני קטול:
qTwl bmny dmzynyn qdmwny aqpwny rshyeyn mshryth
The cords of Sheol were around me. The snares of death caught me.
7
אמר דוד כד עקא לי אנא מצלי קדם יי וקדם אלהי אנא מתחנן ומקבל מהיכליה צלותי ובעותי קדמוהי מתעבדא:
mthebda qdmwhy wbewthy tslwthy mhyklyh wmqbl mthkhnn ana alhy wqdm yy qdm mtsly ana ly eqa kd dwd amr
In my distress, I called on Yahweh. Yes, I called to my God. He heard my voice out of his temple. My cry came into his ears.

ואתרגיפת ואתרגישת ארעא שכלולי שמיא זעו ואתרכינו ארי תקף רוגזיה:
rwgzyh thqp ary wathrkynw zew shmya shklwly area wathrgyshth wathrgypth
Then the earth shook and trembled. The foundations of heaven quaked and were shaken, because he was angry.

סליק זדוני דפרעה רשיעא כתננא קדמוהי בכן שלח רוגזיה כאשא בערא דמן קדמוהי משיצאה מזופיתיה כגומרין דנור דלקא מימריה:
mymryh dlqa dnwr kgwmryn mzwpythyh mshytsah qdmwhy dmn bera kasha rwgzyh shlkh bkn qdmwhy kthnna rshyea dpreh zdwny slyq
Smoke went up out of his nostrils. Consuming fire came out of his mouth. Coals were kindled by it.

וארכין שמיא ואתגלי יקריה וענן אמיטתא כבש קדמוהי:
qdmwhy kbsh amyTtha wenn yqryh wathgly shmya warkyn
He bowed the heavens also, and came down. Thick darkness was under his feet.

ואתגלי בגבורתיה על כרובין קלילין ודבר בתקיף על כנפי רוחא:
rwkha knpy el bthqyp wdbr qlylyn krwbyn el bgbwrthyh wathgly
He rode on a cherub, and flew. Yes, he was seen on the wings of the wind.

ואשרי שכינתיה בערפילא וענן יקר סחור סחור ליה מחית מין תקיפין מרכפת עננין קלילין ברום עלמא:
elma brwm qlylyn ennyn mrkpth thqypyn myn mkhyth lyh skhwr skhwr yqr wenn berpyla shkynthyh washry
He made darkness a shelter around himself, gathering of waters, and thick clouds of the skies.

מזיו יקריה מבהיקין שמי שמיא מזופיתיה כגומרין דנור דלקא מימריה:
mymryh dlqa dnwr kgwmryn mzwpythyh shmya shmy mbhyqyn yqryh mzyw
At the brightness before him, coals of fire were kindled.

אכלי מן שמיא יי ועלאה ארים מימריה:
mymryh arym welah yy shmya mn akly
Yahweh thundered from heaven. The Most High uttered his voice.
15
ושלח מחתיה כגירין ובדרינון ברקין ושגשינון:
wshgshynwn brqyn wbdrynwn kgyryn mkhthyh wshlkh
He sent out arrows and scattered them, lightning and confused them.
16
ואתחזיאו עומקי ימא אתגליאו שכלולי תבל במזופיתא מן קדם יי ממימר תקוף רוגזיה:
rwgzyh thqwp mmymr yy qdm mn bmzwpytha thbl shklwly athglyaw yma ewmqy wathkhzyaw
Then the channels of the sea appeared. The foundations of the world were laid bare by Yahweh’s rebuke, at the blast of the breath of his nostrils.

שלח נביוהי מלך תקיף דיתיב בתקוף רומא דברני שיזבני מעממין סגיאין:
sgyayn memmyn shyzbny dbrny rwma bthqwp dythyb thqyp mlk nbywhy shlkh
He sent from on high and he took me. He drew me out of many waters.
18
שיזבני מסנאי ארי תקפני מבעלי דבבי ארי אתגברו עלי:
ely athgbrw ary dbby mbely thqpny ary msnay shyzbny
He delivered me from my strong enemy, from those who hated me, for they were too mighty for me.
19
יקדמוני ביום טלטולי והות מימרא דיי סמך לי:
ly smk dyy mymra whwth TlTwly bywm yqdmwny
They came on me in the day of my calamity, but Yahweh was my support.
20
ואפיק לרוחא יתי שיזבני ארי אתרעי בי:
by athrey ary shyzbny ythy lrwkha wapyq
He also brought me out into a large place. He delivered me, because he delighted in me.
21
אמר דוד ישלמינני יי כזכותי כברירות ידי יתיב לי יי:
yy ly ythyb ydy kbryrwth kzkwthy yy yshlmynny dwd amr
Yahweh rewarded me according to my righteousness. He rewarded me according to the cleanness of my hands.
22
ארי נטרית אורחן דתקנן קדם יי ולא הליכית ברשע קדם אלהי:
alhy qdm brshe hlykyth wla yy qdm dthqnn awrkhn nTryth ary
For I have kept Yahweh’s ways, and have not wickedly departed from my God.
23
ארי כל דינוהי גלן לקבלי למעבדהון וקימוהי לא עדית מנהון:
mnhwn edyth la wqymwhy lmebdhwn lqbly gln dynwhy kl ary
For all his ordinances were before me. As for his statutes, I didn’t depart from them.
24
והוית שלים בדחלתיה והוית נטר נפשי מחובין:
mkhwbyn npshy nTr whwyth bdkhlthyh shlym whwyth
I was also perfect toward him. I kept myself from my iniquity.
25
ואתיב יי לי כזכותי כברירותי קדם מימריה:
mymryh qdm kbryrwthy kzkwthy ly yy wathyb
Therefore Yahweh has rewarded me according to my righteousness, According to my cleanness in his eyesight.

עם אברהם דאשתכח חסיד קדמך בכן אסגיתא למעבד חסדא עם זרעיה יצחק דהוה שלים בדחלתך בכן אשלמתא מימר רעותך למעבד עמיה:
emyh lmebd rewthk mymr ashlmtha bkn bdkhlthk shlym dhwh ytskhq zreyh em khsda lmebd asgytha bkn qdmk khsyd dashthkkh abrhm em
With the merciful you will show yourself merciful. With the perfect man you will show yourself perfect.

עם יעקב דהליך בברירותא קדמך בחרתא בנוהי מכל עממיא ואפרשתא זרעיה מכל פסולא פרעה ומצראי דחשיבו מחשבן על עמך בלבלתינון במחשבתהון:
bmkhshbthhwn blblthynwn emk el mkhshbn dkhshybw wmtsray preh pswla mkl zreyh waprshtha emmya mkl bnwhy bkhrtha qdmk bbryrwtha dhlyk yeqb em
With the pure you will show yourself pure. With the crooked you will show yourself shrewd.

וית עמא בית ישראל דמתקרן בעלמא הדין עם חשיך את עתיד למפרק ובמימרך תקיפא דמתגברין עליהון תמאיך:
thmayk elyhwn dmthgbryn thqypa wbmymrk lmprq ethyd ath khshyk em hdyn belma dmthqrn yshral byth ema wyth
You will save the afflicted people, but your eyes are on the arrogant, that you may bring them down.

ארי את הוא מרי נהורי דישראל יי ויי יפקינני מחשוכא לנהורא ויחזינני בעלמא דעתיד למיתי לצדיקיא:
ltsdyqya lmythy dethyd belma wykhzynny lnhwra mkhshwka ypqynny wyy yy dyshral nhwry mry hwa ath ary
For you are my lamp, Yahweh. Yahweh will light up my darkness.
30
ארי במימרך אסגי משרין ובמימר אלהי אכבש כל כרכין תקיפין:
thqypyn krkyn kl akbsh alhy wbmymr mshryn asgy bmymrk ary
For by you, I run against a troop. By my God, I leap over a wall.
31
אלהא דכיונא אורחיה אוריתא דיי בחירא היא תקיף הוא לכל די מתרחצין עלוהי:
elwhy mthrkhtsyn dy lkl hwa thqyp hya bkhyra dyy awrytha awrkhyh dkywna alha
As for God, his way is perfect. Yahweh’s word is tested. He is a shield to all those who take refuge in him.

בכן על נסא ופורקנא די תעביד למשיחך ולשארא דעמך דאשתארון יודון כל עממיא אומיא ולישניא ויימרון לית אלהא אלא יי ארי לית בר מנך ועמך יימרון לית דתקיף אלא אלהנא:
alhna ala dthqyp lyth yymrwn wemk mnk br lyth ary yy ala alha lyth wyymrwn wlyshnya awmya emmya kl ywdwn dashtharwn demk wlshara lmshykhk thebyd dy wpwrqna nsa el bkn
For who is God, besides Yahweh? Who is a rock, besides our God?
33
אלהא דסעיד לי בחילא ומתקן שלים אורחי:
awrkhy shlym wmthqn bkhyla ly dseyd alha
God is my strong fortress. He makes my way perfect.
34
משוי רגלי קלילין כאילתא ועל בית תוקפי יקימנני:
yqymnny thwqpy byth wel kayltha qlylyn rgly mshwy
He makes his feet like hinds’ feet, and sets me on my high places.
35
מליף ידי למעבד קרבא ומתקיף בקשת נחשא דרעי:
drey nkhsha bqshth wmthqyp qrba lmebd ydy mlyp
He teaches my hands to war, so that my arms bend a bow of bronze.
36
ויהבת לי תקוף ובפורקנך ובמימרך אסגיתני:
asgythny wbmymrk wbpwrqnk thqwp ly wyhbth
You have also given me the shield of your salvation. Your gentleness has made me great.
37
אסגיתא פסיעתי תחותי ולא אזדעזעא רכובתי:
rkwbthy azdezea wla thkhwthy psyethy asgytha
You have enlarged my steps under me. My feet have not slipped.
38
ורדפית סנאי ושיציתינון ולא תבית עד די גמרתינון:
gmrthynwn dy ed thbyth wla wshytsythynwn snay wrdpyth
I have pursued my enemies and destroyed them. I didn’t turn again until they were consumed.

ושיציתינון וגמרתינון ולא יכילו למיקם ונפלו קטילין תחות פרסת רגלי:
rgly prsth thkhwth qTylyn wnplw lmyqm ykylw wla wgmrthynwn wshytsythynwn
I have consumed them, and struck them through, so that they can’t arise. Yes, they have fallen under my feet.
40
וסעדתני בחילא למעבד קרבא תברתא עממיא דקימין לאבאשא לי תחותי:
thkhwthy ly labasha dqymyn emmya thbrtha qrba lmebd bkhyla wsedthny
For you have armed me with strength for the battle. You have subdued under me those who rose up against me.
41
וסנאי תברתא קדמי מחזרי קדל בעלי דבבי ושיציתינון:
wshytsythynwn dbby bely qdl mkhzry qdmy thbrtha wsnay
You have also made my enemies turn their backs to me, that I might cut off those who hate me.
42
בען סעיד ולית להון פריק מצלן קדם יי ולא מקביל צלותהון:
tslwthhwn mqbyl wla yy qdm mtsln pryq lhwn wlyth seyd ben
They looked, but there was no one to save; even to Yahweh, but he didn’t answer them.
43
ודוששתינון כעפרא דארעא כסין שוקין בעטית בהון רפסתינון:
rpsthynwn bhwn beTyth shwqyn ksyn darea kepra wdwshshthynwn
Then I beat them as small as the dust of the earth. I crushed them as the mire of the streets, and spread them abroad.
44
ותשיזבנני מפלגות עמא תמניני רישא לעממיא עמא דלא ידעית יפלחונני:
yplkhwnny ydeyth dla ema lemmya rysha thmnyny ema mplgwth wthshyzbnny
You also have delivered me from the strivings of my people. You have kept me to be the head of the nations. A people whom I have not known will serve me.
45
בני עממיא יתכדבון לי לשמוע אודן ישתמעון בי:
by yshthmewn awdn lshmwe ly ythkdbwn emmya bny
The foreigners will submit themselves to me. As soon as they hear of me, they will obey me.
46
בני עממיא יסופון ויזועון מבירניתהון:
mbyrnythhwn wyzwewn yswpwn emmya bny
The foreigners will fade away, and will come trembling out of their close places.
47
בכן על ניסא ופורקנא דעבדתא לעמך בית ישראל אודיאו ואמרו קיים הוא יי ובריך תקיפא דמן קדמוהי מתיהיב לנא תקוף ופורקן ומרומם אלהא תקוף פורקננא:
pwrqnna thqwp alha wmrwmm wpwrqn thqwp lna mthyhyb qdmwhy dmn thqypa wbryk yy hwa qyym wamrw awdyaw yshral byth lemk debdtha wpwrqna nysa el bkn
Yahweh lives! Blessed be my rock! Exalted be God, the rock of my salvation,

אלהא דעבד פורענותא לי ותבר עממיא דקיימין לאבאשא לי תחותי:
thkhwthy ly labasha dqyymyn emmya wthbr ly pwrenwtha debd alha
even the God who executes vengeance for me, who brings down peoples under me,
49
ופרקי מסנאי ועל דקיימין לאבאשא לי תגברינני מגוג וממשירית עממין חטופין דעימיה תשיזבינני:
thshyzbynny deymyh khTwpyn emmyn wmmshyryth mgwg thgbrynny ly labasha dqyymyn wel msnay wprqy
who brings me away from my enemies. Yes, you lift me up above those who rise up against me. You deliver me from the violent man.

על כן אודי קדמך יי בעממיא ולשמך אימר תושבחן:
thwshbkhn aymr wlshmk bemmya yy qdmk awdy kn el
Therefore I will give thanks to you, Yahweh, among the nations, and will sing praises to your name.
